Abstract

This study addresses the hybrid selves that can form after the emergence of a blended work environment, where the environment combines the traditional work environment with the digital one. This study examined the issue using a group of international organizations operating in various fields, including Microsoft, Deloitte, and the National Health Service. The study aims to explore ways to achieve a balance between personal and professional selves in a blended work. What makes a hybrid work environment positive is that it allows a high degree of flexibility, but also creates ambiguity in defining the boundaries between the two selves. Furthermore, the organizations under study have developed strategies that support individual mental health within the framework of quality of work life. Therefore, the study suggests linking the organizational structure design process for hybrid work in a way that aligns with the balance between the individual's personal and professional selves.
